About Me

I am a radiologist specializing in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) scans in the oncologic emergency setting. I collaborate with my colleagues at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) to establish imaging protocols for emergency cases that are put in place to not only improve the coordination of imaging but also the patient’s imaging experience. Although imaging can be challenging for some patients in this emergency setting, it is a minimal-risk tool that uncovers valuable information that can be used to inform the next steps of a patient’s care journey.
During my radiology training, I realized the impact of imaging on the field of oncology and how essential it is in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of many cancers. My passion for radiology continued to grow during my fellowship training in neuroradiology and molecular imaging and therapy, completed at MSK. Shortly after I fulfilled my fellowship training, I joined MSK’s Department of Radiology, in 2018. With the help of my peers, I have established MSK’s first emergency onco-radiology section; this supports seamless and timely imaging for our patients who most critically need it.
A radiologist is a doctor with special training in using imaging to diagnose and treat disease. Imaging includes X-rays, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
